This privacy policy, outlines how The ED Dietitian uses and protects any personal information that you provide us. 

 

Should The Ed Dietitian ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using our services it will only be used in accordance with this privacy policy. This policy is effective as from 19th October 2023.


WHY I COLLECT YOUR DATA:

Your personal data is collected with your consent in order for The ED Dietitian to provide nutrition and dietetic services to you.


THE DATA I COLLECT:

The ED Dietitian may collect the following information:

  • Information provided by you via the initial enquiry form

  • Information from your informed consent form

  • Clinical information from other health professionals

  • Any further information you share during your consultations or other contact we may have with you

WHAT I DO WITH THE DATA:

  • Clinical record keeping of client information

  • Sharing information with relevant health professionals

  • Internal research and development, polls and surveys;

  • Certain special circumstances, such as compliance with legal obligations, meeting audit obligations or for other legitimate purposes.

HOW I USE YOUR DATA

In order to respond to contact from you, via the website, social media or by any other method, The ED Dietitian will use this information by way of response to your request ​

The ED Dietitian site collects data about visits to the site in order to optimise our site, as well as to promote security by checking for unusual activity and potential threats. Date is also used for internal operations including troubleshooting, data analysis and research. We may use Google Analytics or a similar service to track visits to the site. 

 

SECURITY

The ED Dietitian has put in place encrypted electronic systems safeguard and secure the information we collect, in order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure.


CONTROL OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We will not distribute, sell or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your explicit permission or are required by law to do so.

If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please email us as soon as possible at info@theeddietitian.com and this will be updated/corrected.


WITHDRAWAL OF CONSENT FOR PERSONAL INFORMATION STORAGE

If you do not wish us to make use of your personal information in line with this policy, please contact Bethany Francois, or email info@theeddietitian.com. You have the right to withdraw consent.

Please note that it is required by law that treatment records are kept for 10 years from your last contact (for clients over 18 years old) or 10 years after turning 18 years old (for clients under 18 years old). After this time period, your records will be destroyed unless you request otherwise.
